So it’s my first bento lunch in my new Tupperware container. Tupperware always reminds me of my childhood. Tupperware is so 70’s. So I went with a childish theme for my food today:

Tupperware Bento #1
Egg Salad sandwich, smore fixins, and apple slices.

Because a few of us in the office got into the friendly competition of Lunch Wars (#lunchwars on Twitter), we all have our different Bento boxes and methods for packing lunch. We each have our strengths (Grace has the perfect lunch contents – so healthy, Betsy is the innovative one, and I have the cute minature food (that’s totally not healthy), and we each have different containers. Grace has the Laptop Lunchbox, I have two different two tier bentos, and Betsy has a more traditional Bento that’s a black, square, one layer deal with compartments.
But what we all agreed was super cute was amazingly enough from TUPPERWARE. Go figure. Betsy saw it first and was inspired to invite us all over for a Tupperware party. Here’s what she found:

So usually you’re supposed to use this particular Fit and Fresh container for breakfast items. Cereal in the top (notice the handy spoon) and then the milk goes in the bottom with a nice cold ring that keeps everything cool. But I decided today to make pasta and thought this would be a great container to store it in.
Pasta in the top, sauce in the milk cup and then it’ll all get dumped in the bowl and warmed up. Yummy!
And let me tell you about the sauce I’m eating today. It’s my absolute favorite pasta sauce in the whole world. And it’s from a jar. Yeah – I know! But it’s Wegmans Italian Classics Sauce, Puttanesca. So good…

Apparently it’s Mr. Wegman’s (I guess that’s his name) favorite:
Product Details:
Gluten free. Savor the taste of Italy. A savory sauce with Kalamata olives, portabella mushrooms, artichoke hearts and capers. My favorite! Experience the savory kick of olives, capers and Pecorino Romano. This thick sauce rivals the best homemade recipes. Remember, your satisfaction is always guaranteed with Wegmans brand products. Buon Appetito! – The Wegmans Family.
Ingredients:
Tomato Puree (Water, Tomato Paste, Citric Acid), Diced Tomatoes, Portabello Mushrooms, Artichoke Hearts, Kalamata Olives (Kalamata Olives, Water, Salt, Red Wine Vinegar), Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Chablis Cooking Wine, Anchovy Paste (Anchovies, Salt, Olive Oil), Capers, Parsley, Pecorino Romano Cheese (Sheep’s Milk, Rennet, Salt), Salt, Garlic, Spices.

Floream Blue 2-tier Bento Box
So this is the Bento Box that I ended up purchasing from Ebay. It’ll ship from Japan, so unfortunately it’ll take forever. I ended up choosing this one because of it’s colors and also because it comes with dividers inside. So now I’ll have a flat surface inside for my food, and I can use the sections or not…whatever I want!

Now, because this Bento Box will be taking the slow boat from Japan over to my lunch table, I went ahead and jumped on a really cheap Bento Box from Ichiban Kan. It was only $8.50. It does not have dividers and the color isn’t so snazzy…but it is 2-tier, the cost is great, and I do like the little fork and spoon pic and that it says “Maybe I am hungry”.
Here it is:
